Five misconceptions of back office outsourcing debunked

Misvattingen outsourcing

Your organization may be considering outsourcing data processing or the back office because of staff shortages, high costs or simply a lack of time. However, you may have doubts because you think there are too many negatives.

Outsourcing complex data processing or complete back-office processes can in fact be a strategy for achieving business continuity, efficiency and cost savings. So take a moment to read this blog and give us the opportunity to debunk some of the misconceptions about outsourcing!

1. Outsourcing data processing is insecure

If you’re convinced that outsourcing increases the risk of data leaks, there’s nothing to worry about! Our remote team processes data securely and reliably, within the European Union, according to strict SLAs. On top of that, we are ISO 27001 certified and GDPR-compliant. For most of our clients, we work directly in their own networking environments (just as if we were their colleagues in the Netherlands). You can therefore be sure of correct and secure data processing and you retain control of your own process.

2. Outsourcing is no cheaper than in-house data processing

You may think that outsourcing your data processing or back office isn’t any cheaper than doing it yourself because you will spend a long time training and supervising a remote team, but nothing could be further from the truth. We work using the ‘train the trainer’ principle. Your company only has to explain everything once to a team leader through a few video calls. We then create detailed work instructions that we fine-tune with you. You only invest any time at the beginning and you then get a professional remote team, which also gives you cost savings and business continuity.

3. Outsourcing data processing to another country isn’t an option because our data is in Dutch

DataMondial is a Dutch company with 350 highly trained (English-speaking) Romanian employees. We often hear that companies are afraid that their lack of proficiency in Dutch is an obstacle to being able to process the data correctly. The reality is that proficiency in the language is not required for the majority of tasks. The decisive factor in whether remote data processing can be a success is having good, understandable work instructions from the client. In a new project, we do a test run to simulate the process and the data processing; this lets us work with you to fine-tune the process, the KPIs required and the service levels.

4. Outsourcing data processing means lower quality

If you’re worried that outsourcing data processing could lead to poorer quality or less accuracy, there’s no need! DataMondial employs highly trained professionals with expertise in data analysis, data processing and data management. The right communication, clear guidelines and quality control processes let us deliver high-quality results that fulfil all the requirements.

5. Outsourcing data processing leads to job losses

Have you been told that outsourcing data processing leads to job losses? Although there can be a grain of truth there in that certain internal roles get reduced, outsourcing is more likely to be the solution to a lack of personnel or may even create new jobs. Using our remote team for repetitive tasks lets you create more of a challenge for your own staff. They can focus more on the important core tasks, growing into their roles and making your people more satisfied as a result.

More than enough reason for outsourcing the back office to DataMondial.
